BLOWING OUR OWN TRUMPET

We thought that we’d tell you a bit about ourselves, not in a showy off kind of way but more so that you can see our experience and immediately begin to trust that we can deliver upon our promises. There’s lots of chefs out there but not many with so much cool stuff under their belts.

Luxe Waiheke was set up by chef Anthony McNamara in 2017 to be the place where he could say ‘yes’ to all the interesting projects that keep coming his way.

Events, consultancies, pop ups and private chef services - all the fun stuff that keeps chef life interesting.

You’ll have noticed by now that the website is pretty vague. No pictures, no set menus, no price lists and no ‘please choose from A, B or C.’

That’s because we never want to get stuck in our ways. We want you to inspire us. We’re only as good as our last morsel.

Give us a call, or drop us a line and let us know what you’re thinking about. If you want to serve suckling pig banh mi sliders to your wedding guests on the dance floor at 2am, we’ll figure it out.

Think big.

Luxe Waiheke is a return to familiar turf for Anthony, who was the head chef of prestigious London based catering company Urban Caprice. Their motto was ‘nothing is a problem’ and it’s probably this and the quality of the food that made them the most sought after caterers around. Clients such as Armani, the Frieze Art Fair, Louis Vuitton, Mercedes-Benz, Vogue & Saatchi & Saatchi demanded their services all over Europe, from ten to two thousand guests at a time.

Most recently Anthony was at the helm of The Oyster Inn, earning awards and accolades along the way such as Metro magazines best destination and a nomination for Auckland’s best chef. No stranger to an award or two, he also picked up his fair share back home in England with his own south coast restaurant, The Mill Tea & Dining Room, a Good Food Guide restaurant of the year.

Countless restaurants and food companies have called upon his services as a consultant and if you haven't eaten his food, you might have drooled over it, he’s been a food stylist for some of the worlds biggest magazines, companies and campaigns.

Never one for sitting still, he’s been a private chef to two British Prime Ministers, looked after pop stars, royalty and the sporting elite at home and abroad and even overseen the hospitality at the G8 summit and the MTV awards.

Yep, we’ve got this covered.
